Flow

Few things fill me up more than getting out in nature.  It's why I try to spend as much time as possible in the mountains.

This past weekend I spent in beautiful Steamboat Springs.  Saturday afternoon I rented a tube and floated down the magnificent Yampa River that runs right through town.

As I work on going more with the flow and letting go of control, this was a perfect experience to remind me.

Sometimes there are obstacles you have to maneuver around, sometimes the water is choppy, sometimes it's fast and you're flying by and other times it's moving painfully slowly.  Sometimes you get stuck in a stagnant part and you have to exert a lot of effort to get out.

If you try to go upstream, it's a waste of energy and will just exhaust you.  When you can relax and let the river take you, the ride is much more enjoyable.

If we pay attention, life is always trying to teach us something.  What is yours trying to teach you?

XO

Adrienne
