Have More Fun

For the last couple of years I write down a word for my year ahead. This yearthat word is fun.

Of course everyone would say they'd like more fun in their lives. But I'm not talking about endlessly chasing more "fun" experiences in life.

To me, it means having more fun every day in every task.

We tend to take life and ourselves so seriously - mindlessly going from one task to another, stressed about our to do lists and all of life's demands. Rarely thinking abut how we can transform these things into something fun.

Here are some ideas:

-->Change the way you look at the task ex: Doing laundry as a chance to thank your clothes for keeping you warm and being part of how you show yourself to the world
-->Put on the happiest most uplifting music you can find while doing something stressful or mundane and pretend every cell in your body is having a dance party
-->Imagine your life is a movie (think Truman Show) and spontaneously do weird things to make the audience laugh
-->Have a huge grin on your face and see who can notice through your mask at the grocery store (one of my personal favorites)

Can we find more levity, more laughter, and just more playfulness in our day to day lives? That's my goal for this year :)
